AP LAW Common Entrance Test (AP LAWCET-2017) and AP PG LAW Common Entrance Test (AP PGLCET-2017) will be conducted by the convener, LAWCET-2017 and PGLCET-2017, Department of Law, Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapuramu on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education for admission into 3 Year / 5 Year LLB /LLM Regular Courses within the colleges of Law in Andhra Pradesh for the academic year 2017-18.Program Details
For AP PGLCET-2017:
Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapuramu, Andhra Pradesh will conduct the Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Law Common Entrance Test (AP PGLCET-2017) for entry into those seats of 1st year of LLM Degree Courses for which the Govt. is competent
The Post-graduate law common entrance test-2017 & its Admissions will be made in strict compliance of the Rules and Regulations of the University Concerned, APSCHE and relevant G.O.s of A.P that are in force and also amendments that may come into force from time to time
LLM Courses are offered as full-time regular courses in the University Colleges, constituent/PG Colleges of the University and Private Law Colleges affiliated to the Universities
For AP LAWCET-2017:
Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapuramu, Andhra Pradesh will conduct the Andhra Pradesh Law Common Entrance Test (AP LAWCET-2017) for entry into those seats of 1st year of Five Year / Three year LL.B Degree Courses for which the Govt. is competent
The Law common Entrance Test-2017 & its Admissions will be made in strict compliance of the Rules and Regulations of the University Concerned, BCI, APSCHE and relevant G.O.s of A.P that are in force and also amendments that may come into force from time to time

Eligibility Criteria for AP LAWCET & AP PGLCET-2017
For APLAWCET-2017
For 3 year LLB Course: The Candidates for 3 year LLB should have passed any Graduate Degree (10+2+3 pattern) of a recognized University with 45% of aggregate marks or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the Universities concerned
If any candidate secured less than 45% in graduation he should have passed any additional graduation or post graduation with 45%
For 5 Year LLB Course: The Candidates for 5 year LLB should have passed two year Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with 45% of aggregate marks or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the University concerned or the Board of Intermediate Education, AP
There is a relaxation of 5% of marks in the above qualifying examinations for 3 year/5 year Law course infavour of the Candidates belonging to SC/ST
Age: The maximum age limit for a candidate seeking admission into the 3 year and 5 year LL.B course shall be 30 years (relaxable by 5 years in case of SC/ST) and 20 years (relaxable by 2 years in case of SC/ST) respectively as on 31st Dec 2017
Nationality: The candidate should be an Indian National and should satisfy local/unreserved status requirement
For AP PGLCET-2017
Candidates holding LL.B/BL degree on the date of application and candidates who have appeared/appearing for LL.B/BL Final year examination are also eligible.
A candidate appearing for LLB/BL degree examinations may take the APPGLCET in anticipation of results; however he should pass at the time of counseling.
Nationality: The candidate should be an Indian National and should satisfy Local/Unreserved status requirement as laid down in the AP Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order, 1974 and the amendments made there to from time to time.
Exam Pattern (Scheme Papers)
AP LAWCET-2017
Test Centers: Anantapuramu, Kadapa, Guntur, Kurnool, Nellore, Rajahmundry, Srikakulam, Tirupati, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam
If the total number of candidates in any centre is less than 100, the Convener reserves the right to cancel the centre and in such case the candidates will be allotted to the other nearest centre
Medium of Entrance Test: The question paper will be set both in English and Telugu
The test is designed to evaluate the candidate’s ability and aptitude to pursue the study of law
The test consists of three parts. Total number of questions will be 120 and the duration of test is 90 minutes. Maximum marks are 120
Part-A consists of 30 questions carrying 30 marks (General Knowledge and Mental Ability)
Part-B consists of 30 questions carrying 30 marks (Current Affairs) Part-C consists of 60 questions carrying 60 marks (Aptitude for the Study of Law)
For 5-year Law course, the standard expected is of Intermediate level and for 3 year Law course, the standard expected is of degree level. There is no negative mark for incorrect answer
The qualifying percentage of marks in the entrance test is 35% (42 marks out of total 120 marks)
There will be no minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST for ranking. Each Question contains four alternative answers numbered as 1, 2, 3 and 4. Candidates have to exercise their choice in answering the question (See Annexure-I)
The candidate will not be allowed into the examination hall after 10.00 am i.e. after the commencement of exam
The question paper booklet given to the candidate shall consist of 120 multiple choice type questions in three different parts with four responses given to each question out of which only one response is correct
Candidates shall mark the correct answer in the OMR response sheet by shading or darkening the appropriate circle with Ball Point Pen (Blue or Black) for this purpose
There is no negative mark for incorrect answers
Hall tickets & Rank Cards: Applicants are invited to download the AP LAWCET hall tickets and rank cards from the websitewww.aplawcet.org; any tampering of hall ticket is found will leads to disqualification of the candidates
For AP PGLCET-2017
Test Centres: Tirupati, Visakhapatnam, Guntur, Anantapuramu. The Convener, AP PGLCET-2017 reserves the right to reject the application of any candidate at any stage, if the application is incomplete, or the candidate fails to satisfy the eligibility conditions
No correspondence will be entertained with regard to rejection of application on any one or more of the above grounds
Medium Test: The question paper will be set in English only
Hall Tiecket: The Candidates are advised to download the Hall tickets from the website www.aplawcet.org one week before the Test
Qualifying Marks in APPGLCET-2017: The qualifying percentage of marks in the Entrance Test is25%; there will be no qualifying marks for SCs & STs for ranking
Rank obtained in AP PGLCET-2017 is valid for admission into LLM Courses, as the case may be, for the academic year 2017-18 only
Rank Card will not be sent by post; the candidates are advised to download the Rank Card from the web site www.aplawcet.org; in case of any difficulty in downloading Rank Card, the candidates are advised to contact the Convener’s office
Mode of Test: A Single entrance test is conducted for all the courses of LLM; it is of 90 minutes duration and consists of 120 questions of 1 mark each
Part-A consists of 40 questions (Jurisprudence 20, Constitutional Law 20; Total 40 questions of 1 mark each); and Part -B consists of 80 questions (public International Law 16, Mercantile Law 16, Labour Law 16, Crimes and Torts 16, and IPR & Other Laws
b) The candidates have to mark their responses on Optical Mark Reader (OMR) answer sheet by darkening the relevant ovals with Ball Point Pen. Candidates are directed to carry to the exam hall

How to Apply for AP LAWCET & AP PGLCET-2017
Submission of applications is through online mode only. Submission of Applications is permitted through online mode only; fee payment through AP Online/Payment Gateway (Credit card/Debit card/Net Banking)
Payment Procedure
AP Online: Visit any of the AP Online centers with the following mandatory details: Hall ticket number of the qualifying examination; name of the candidate name of father; date of birth of the Candidate; hall ticket number of SSC (10th Class) and mobile number
Pay the requisite fee and obtain a receipt for Registration fee paid and ensure that it contains a Transaction Id; logon towww.aplawcet.org using the Transaction Id
Debit/Credit Card
i) If you choose to make payment using Debit/Credit card/Net Banking mode, go through the Instruction booklet / User Guide carefully and be ready with all the required mandatory details
ii) After entering the details above, click on the "Make Payment" Button and proceed to fill the online application form
iii) During the payment process don't click the Back/Refresh buttons or don't close the browser page abruptly
iv) After successful payment through Debit/Credit Card, a "Transaction Id" is generated and displayed on the screen; then proceed to fill the online application by clicking the button "Proceed to fill
