Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda University (RKMVU), Belur invites applications for admission to M.Sc Computer Science Programme commencing in the year 2017.The Department of Computer Science in this new University aspires to impart Engineering-based Science Education to its students joining the M.Sc Programme in Computer Science

Eligibility
Male Students of B Sc Hons or B Tech in computer science/engineering, B Tech in any other discipline with a Diploma in Computer Science, or Bachelor in Computer Applications from any recognized University/Institute with 60% marks in aggregate (in the case of Hons students: 60% in Hons subject) are eligible to apply
Vivekananda University Belur MSc Computer Science - Selection Procedure
Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the written admission test conducted by the university
Students from outside West Bengal desiring to appear for the written admission test in venues near their places of residence may send a separate request by email to cs@rkmvu.ac.in

C, C++, Data Structures and algorithms, Automata Theory, Operating systems, Database, Digital Logic, Permutations and combinations, Propositional Logic, Set Theory, Probability. Sample question paper is available for download
Announcement of Results
Shortlisted candidates on the basis of the performance in the written test on 25 March, Saturday will be announced the next day 26th March, Sunday at 01.00 pm. These shortlisted candidates should appear for a viva-voce test on 27th March (Monday) at 11.00 am
Candidates finally selected may take admission immediately after the announcement of their final selection. The last date by which they should be admitted is 01st April 2017. Classes will begin on 01st June 2017, Thursday at 10:00 am
Course Fee
Admission process shall begin immediately after the interview. Those candidates permitted and willing to take admission may be admitted immediately by paying a total amount of Rs 17,050/ having the following breakup
Tuition Fee - Rs 6000/- for the first semester plus
Admission cum registration fee (one time)- Rs 5000/-
Lab Fee - Rs 3000/-
Examination fee - Rs 1000/-
Id Card - Rs 50/-
Caution Deposit (one time, refundable) - Rs 2000/-
Selected candidates have to take admission by paying the requisite fees. Those who fail to take admission before the stipulated date without explicit permission from the authority will run the risk of forfeiting their admission
How to Apply for Vivekananda University Belur MSc Computer Science 2017 admission ?
Application Forms & Admit Card can either be downloaded from the www.cs.rkmvu.ac.in given at the bottom on this page or collected from the University’s central office at Belur (just outside the Belur Math main gate)
Please read the instructions printed in the application form carefully. All the relevant information of the application must be duly filled and submitted along with a Fee of Rs.300/-
It can be either a demand draft for Rs.300/- made in favour of ‘Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda University’ payable at Belur Math, Howrah, (preferably UBI or SBI) or by cash
